The Serpentine Gallery Manifesto Marathon brought together leading artists and practitioners from the worlds of literature, architecture, music, film, activism and philosophical discourse to present their manifestos for the 21st century in front of a public audience. The two-day event took place on 18-19 October 2008, in the Serpentine Gallery Pavilion 2008, designed by Frank Gehry.
